Meet Nichole
Hi - I am Nichole Beecher Isom. I am a mother of 4, educator, and homesteader. I have a Bachelor's degree in Marriage & Family Life from BYU and completed 2 years of coursework in Special Education from the U of U. I am experienced with curriculum development, education management, teaching ESL, ASL, homeschool, preschool, and Special Ed.
I will be your State School Board advocate for:
- Parental rights,
- High academic standards,
- Keeping ideology out of the classroom,
- The right to homeschool,
- Protecting Honor's & Special Ed programs

Schools are for academics. Let's leave ideology to families and churches.
Protect Parental Rights
Parents ought to be the ones to instruct their kids on gender & sexuality and make medical decisions on their behalf. I favor more parental involvement in schools.
Protect Teachers
I will guard against the incursion of AI instruction & advocate for teachers to continue teaching.
Limit Computerized Instruction
Academic performance suffers with the overreliance on screens. I favor a return to time-tested programs and actual books and paper for core subjects.
Help Individuals Shine
I will work to protect special ed, honor's programs, and fine arts instruction so every child in Utah can develop their unique talents & abilities.
Encourage Patriotism
Our children need to know & appreciate our founding documents and unique history. They also need to understand the dangers of tyrannical governments.
Protect Homeschooling
Homeschooling is currently under attack right here in Utah. I will be a staunch defender of the right to homeschool in our state!
Limit Data Collection
Today our children are constantly being mined for data within the schools. I will stand up to this agenda of constant, intrusive data collection
Teaching ESL in China
In 2019 I went to China to teach English. Not only was I greatly enriched by the kind people of China, but I also came away with a deepened appreciation for freedom.
Special Needs Mom
Few things have shaped my passion for education more than being a mom of a child with autism. I have had the privilege of seeing my daughter's learning & confidence blossom through the years because of musical training.
Hosting Foreign Exchange Students
I have had the privilege of hosting a total of 39 foreign exchange students from Netherlands, Thailand, Guatemala, Honduras, China, Germany, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Japan!
Attending School Board Meetings
In 2022 I worked with a group of local parents in Washington County and we succeeded in getting our school board to remove sexually-explicit books from the school libraries.
Deep Dive into America's History
While working as the Education Manager for United We Pledge's Liberty Village, I was blessed to visit American history sites in the East & collaborate with American history icons including David Barton. I firmly believe it is our duty to teach our children to understand and appreciate America's history.
